About Our Classes

The skill levels are color coded on the schedule and are associated with an age group.  The age referenced is approximate.  It is not uncommon for experienced dancers to be in a level higher than their age.  If you are unsure which level your student belongs in, please consult with Miss Brenda.

· Students enrolled in three or fewer classes are asked to stay in the same class from week to week, unless it is a make-up class.  Please call the studio, if you are not going to be able to attend class. 

· Unlimited students do not need to enroll for specific classes.

· We try to begin and end our classes on time.  However, we also work in a creative environment and try not to let time dictate our learning process. Sometimes our classes may run late. We appreciate your patience on these days.

· Our class offerings may change based upon need and interest, but following are the core classes.

· It is important for students to dress appropriately for class.  Please check the schedule at the studio for details.

 

Level Light Pink (Ages 3—5)

· Mommy & Me Ballet—2 & 3 year olds. (If you don’t see this class on the schedule, call the studio for details.)

· Princess Ballet / Tap / Hip Hop—Introductory and ongoing combinations classes.  Teaching young students foundational skills in a setting that is molded to a child’s attention span at this age.

· Tumbling—For beginners learning the basics in tumbling.

 

Level Hot Pink (Ages 5—7)

· Ballet / Tap / Hip Hop—Beginners and children with some experience in this age group.

· Formal Ballet— For students who have had at least one year of ballet and are able to focus on practicing ballet technique.

· Tumbling and Dance Fit— Beginners and children with some experience in this age group.

· Hip Hop—Beginners and children with some experience in this age group.

· Jazz—Beginners and children with some experience in this age group.

· Acting—Introductory. Focusing on Television and Film methodology.

 

Level Purple (Ages 7-10)

· Ballet—For beginners in this age group.  If this class is not on the schedule, beginners may enroll in Ballet I.

· Ballet I—For students who have been practicing for at least a year.

· Ballet II—Advanced instruction for this age group. 

· Hip Hop—Beginning class appropriate for this age group.

· Hip Hop I—Intermediate instruction for this age group

· Tap/Jazz—Beginning class appropriate for this age group.

· Jazz—Beginning class appropriate for this age group.

· Tumbling—Beginning class appropriate for this age group.

· Acting—Beginners in this age group with no acting experience. Focuses on Television and Film Methodology.

· Acting I—More advanced instruction for this age group.  Focuses on Television and Film methodology.

 

Level Yellow (Ages 10—12 )

· Ballet—For students in this age group that are just beginning.

· Ballet II—More advanced instruction for this age group.

· Jazz—Beginning Instruction for this age group.

· Jazz I—More advanced instruction for this age group.

· Tap/Jazz—Beginning instruction for this age group.

· Tap II—More advanced instruction for this age group.

· Lyrical—All students in this age group are welcome.

· Hip hop—All students in this age group are welcome.

· Tumbling—All students in this age group are welcome.

· Acting—Beginning instruction for students in this age group.  Focusing on television and film methodology.

· Acting II—Instruction for students who have had prior instruction. Focusing on television and film methodology.

 

Level Blue. (Ages 12—15) and Level Orange (Ages 15—18)

· Ballet - Beginning Instruction for this age group.

· Lyrical—Beginning Instruction for this age group.

· Lyrical I—Intermediate instruction for this age group.

· Lyrical II—Advanced instruction for this age group.

· Jazz—Beginning Instruction for this age group.

· Jazz I—Intermediate instruction for this age group.

· Jazz II—Advanced instruction this age group.

· Hip hop—Open to all students in this age group.

· Acting—Beginning instruction for students in this age group.  Focusing on television and film methodology.

· Acting II—Instruction for students who have had prior instruction.  Focusing on television and film methodology.

· Production Company—Our production company uses all the elements of dance and acting offered at Dance Infinity.  Students must be enrolled in unlimited courses to participate.  And are invited to participate by the staff.

 

Level Red  (Adults)

· Ballet/Jazz—This class is for adults who have little or no experience in dance.

· Lyrical/Jazz—This class assumes that individuals have had some prior instruction.  All levels are welcome.

· Ballet—This class assumes that individuals have had some prior instruction.  All levels are welcome.

· Jazz / Hip hop—This class assumes that individuals have had some prior instruction.  All levels are welcome.
